Medusa - For an older coaster it is still pretty smooth and very creative.
I did appreciate the new soft headrests and harnesses though. I thought the coaster was breaking apart as I was riding it. Kong - Vekoma suspended coasters are always bad, but this one was terrible. I've never felt so nauseous after a ride and would never ride again. The ride is over 5 minutes long and turns you upside down over 10 times. It's a rough single-loop ride that goes on for WAY too long. Still a solid ride but nothing special Dare Devil Chaos Coaster - Literally the worst ride I've ever been on. Batman: The Ride - A free-fly coaster clone that is at most of the Six Flags parks. This is the best family coaster I've ever been on. It's a refurbished RMC Hybrid and is smooth and very fun without ever being overly-intense. The rides I did ride are: The Joker - By far the best ride at the park and one of the top-10 coasters I've ever ridden (out of 150+). I did not get to ride Boomerang, Hammerhead Shark, Tasmanian Devil, Monsoon Falls, or Harley Quinn because each of these was down for the ENTIRE day. It seems that there are way too many mechanical and reliability issues. At one point 5 of the 6 rides in the DC Comics area were down at the same time, which was disappointing and somewhat worrysome. At 11am I checked the app and there were 21 rides that were temporarily or permanently closed!!! Every single thrill ride and coaster was closed at some point during the day or for the whole day. However it was hard to find the operating rides. Thrills: There were not as many roller coasters as there are at most Six Flags but there was a good variety of coasters and thrill rides. Overall the animal exhibits were the best part of the park and there were plenty of showtimes and exhibits to keep any animal lover busy. The walk-through shark tank was also really cool and well-stocked with massive sharks, rays, and fish. Odin's Temple of Tiger is a really cool show where the trainers interact directly with tigers, bottle-feeding them, petting them, and showing how they attack prey in the water.
The presenters tell a lot of interesting facts about each kind of animal. The trainers bring a large variety of animals up close within feet of the audience including a wolf, anteater, ocelot, vulture, parrot, a skunk, and a sloth. The Wildlife Experience Show was my personal favorite. They focused on the "why's" of the training, not just making the dolphins a spectacle. Drench! was their main dolphin stunt show and was better than most, including SeaWorld's dolphin show.
Seals, Sea Lions, and Otters was an adorable show, educating the audience on the differences between the animals and how they care for them at the park. Animals: Although there were not a huge variety of animals, they were all featured in shows and had a lot of space to roam around in. This is not the best Six Flags nor the best zoo, but combined it makes for a great day. The biggest (and happiest) surprise was that the animals really seemed well cared for and they seemed more active than animals at most zoos.
The ride reliability was also not good at all. The park's layout is not the best most of the animal exhibits are fairly far from most of the major rides. Not enough parks do this and it spreads out the crowd and makes it so that there is something fun to do in between rides. My favorite part about SFDK is the zoo/theme park combo.
